Government Entities
The integrity and reputation HCMP brings to the representation of developer clients is noticed by government agencies. They look to HCMP when they are in need of land use counsel for their own projects. Here is a sample of the public entities HCMP has represented:
- Seattle Housing Authority
with the redevelopment of Yesler Terrace to better serve existing and future residents in a new mixed income and mixed use community on this 40-acre site near Downtown Seattle. This is the first project in the City of Seattle to utilize the Planned Action approach to environmental review. - Washington State Convention and Trade Center
in obtaining land use approvals for the original downtown Convention Center and the proposed addition. - University of Washington
in its main campus master plan process and site selection/environmental review for two branch campuses. HCMP also represented the University in connection with land use issues pertaining to its Metropolitan Tract, a 10 acre parcel of land in the heart of Downtown Seattle. - City of Bellevue
in its negotiations with Sound Transit and East Link.
HCMP has provided critical assistance to government agencies in working their way through the regulations affecting their own projects.
