Antitrust

HCMP trial lawyers represent clients in diverse industries and markets in cases alleging antitrust and unfair business practices. We have handled cases involving alleged price fixing and other unlawful trade practices in state and federal courts in Washington, Alaska, California, and other states. Our trial lawyers are highly skilled in working with our clients and economic experts to develop a deep understanding of relevant markets and industry practices.

For example, we represented Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi International Corporation in an antitrust class action in Anchorage, Alaska. The class plaintiffs alleged a price fixing conspiracy among purchasers of Bristol Bay salmon, seeking compensatory damages of $325 million, and treble damages of $975 million. We have also represented manufacturers of liquid crystal displays in price fixing actions filed in federal and state courts in Washington and California, and won dismissal of all claims against a Canadian manufacturer of cedar products in antitrust class actions filed in federal courts in Washington and New York.
